A native and resident of Jefferson, Indiana, Walt has also lived for short periods of time in California, Germany and North Carolina. He and wife Janet have been married 21 years and have three sons and one daughter –including an infant. “Into” cars for as far back as he can remember, Walt built the engine for his first car at 16, in his bedroom. He still has that car. He raced go-carts in North Carolina for awhile, but family obligations took precedence and he put racing on the back burner until more recently when he purchased a ’23 Bucket T raced it at Ohio Valley and Hardinsburg US 60 Raceway (both in Kentucky). Walt currently races a ’92 Olds Cutlass and hopes to one day compete on Pink’s or Passing Time.
