Our Philosophy
Whether its a household appliance or a high performance race car, there's something very satisfying about things running smoothly, performing at their full potential and delivering on their full promise of value... especially when you've made this possible with your own hands and your own ambition.

We didn’t start out as the category leading online retailer of appliance parts and accessories. Nope. We started out with just a little bit of money and a whole lot of drive.

ApplianceZone.com, now the category leading online retailer of appliance parts and accessories, was created by Jim and Paula Allen with an investment of $1,000 and a “starter” web site created by their son Justin.

Talk about do it yourself!

Jim had been self-employed as an appliance repairman …then he and Paula had opened an appliance store ...then they decided to focus on helping people fix their own appliances by selling them the parts online.

The company has expanded and improved over time with Jim, Paula and several of their grown up children to helping people everywhere maintain and repair the appliances that make life easier and much more pleasant.

When you need an appliance part or accessory, ApplianceZone.com is ready to lend a hand. We offer parts for all leading brands, a convenient price checker (with best price guarantee), and excellent shipping options.

We’re not the biggest and we aren’t the best …but we sure get a thrill from racing’s unique pairing of human capability and mechanical wherewithal.

Getting a broken household appliance back into action again and prepping a high horse power beast for competition both require a “pick up a tool and have at it!” mentality that makes exciting things possible.

That’s what attracts the ApplianceZone family to racing.

There’s real satisfaction to be had meeting challenges head on, sometimes even getting in a little over your head (applying curiosity, confidence and will) in pursuit of excellence.

It’s not always a pretty picture and things don’t always go our way “out there” but it makes us feel incredibly alive.
It makes life “real”.

That’s why we’re proud to be the DIY company with a DIYer’s attitude toward racing.

Ready to have some fun? Join us on race day!

Creating and managing a family business then getting involved in motorsports keeps Jim Allen, CEO of ApplianceZone.com, busy 24/7/365..

One of the things Jim Allen, CEO of ApplianceZone.com, likes most about motorsports is that it showcases the great achievements possible when people are fully empowered by the performance of their machines.

“Finishing a race not only requires skill and stamina on the part of the driver, it also requires mechanical wherewithal –having the right equipment at the right place at the right time,” he says. “As a former appliance repair guy now selling parts on the Internet, it’s a no brainer that I’d get a kick out of this.”

Jim started ApplianceZone.com in 2005 with the help of his wife and children and an investment of only $1,000. So it’s also no wonder the racing community’s tradition of including entire families is another big factor behind his sponsorship of ApplianceZone.com Racing.

“When I look around the track, I see husbands, wives and children all having fun together. And then I see drivers that are still teenagers and see a lot of female drivers getting involved now. No other sport is so inclusive. No other sport joins so many different types of people into being part of something together. Motorsports seems to call out “Grab your toolbox everyone! Let’s get our hands a dirty building something together and have a lot of fun!”

Jim’s kind of shy ..but he'll crack up if he hears you yell
“Stuff Happens!”when you see him at the track.

The first electric clothes washers, in which a motor rotated, were introduced c.1900. The motor was not protected and water dripped in causing malfunctions.

PR Guy says: If you don't totally RESPECT your washing machine, you probably wouldn't pass my sniff test.

Mario"Desire is the key to motivation, but it's the determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal - a commitment to excellence - that will enable you to attain the success you seek."
- Mario Andretti

ApplianceZone.com is not just a business. For me and my family it’s a way of life that is much more than earning an income. We come to work every single day with a genuine desire to create something important and much more significant than we could have ever imagined possible even just a few short years ago. There are good times and bad. Rewards and sacrifices. But at the end of the day we feel good about our work and ourselves."
- Jim Allen, CEO/Founder
ApplianceZone.com

"When I think of the pace that I drove my first race, everything was happening a million miles an hour. Now when I get in the car everything happens so much slower."

-- Dan Wheldon, IndyCar champion, explaining how experience changes a driver.
